The 17th IRIS symposium has now concluded in Halifax, Canada (July 21-26, 2024). A conference photo can be found below. The next edition will be held in Saarbrucken.
The IRIS symposium is held every 2-3 years and is the premier international showcase for Main Group Chemistry, including Organometallic Chemistry and Inorganic Materials Chemistry. While the name implies a focus on inorganic rings, the symposium has evolved to feature the full structural and electronic diversity of the field.
This is the third IRIS symposium to be hosted in Canada and we expect 100-150 researchers including world leading professors, postdoctoral fellows and research students from around the world. Besides the scientific program, mixer, and closing banquet, we have also planned an excursion to the iconic Peggy's Cove lighthouse and fishing village for all registrants.
This year IRIS is occurring in parallel and on the same sit as the Canadian Symposium on Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (CSTCC), offering an unparallelled chance to experience the best of global theoretical and main group chemistry in one place.
The registration portal is now available. Come, join us in beautiful ocean-side Halifax - Canada's ocean playground and a launchpad for your Atlantic Canada vacation!
Abstract submission is now closed.
